The National Institute for Early Education Research supports

Connections Academy
Connections Academy provides a new form of free
public school that students attend from home or
another location outside a traditional
classroom. All Connections Academy schools are
public school programs. Connections Academy
schools provide a defined set of curriculum
materials that have been specifically aligned to
local standards and use certified teachers to
evaluate student performance, including
decisions concerning the child's grade level
promotion. All Connections Academy students are
required to take state standardized tests and
the schools are accountable for the students'
performance to regulatory authorities.
LD OnLine
LD OnLine.org is the world's leading web site on learning
disabilities and ADHD, serving more than 200,000 parents,

Tapped In is a Web-based learning environment created by SRI

DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that makes
it easy for anyone to help students in need.
Public school teachers post classroom project
requests, you browse project requests, and when
you find one that interest you, donate any
amount you like to help fund it. Once a project
reaches its funding goal, materials are
delivered to the school. Donors receive photos
of your project taking place, a thank-you letter
from the teacher, and a cost report showing how
each dollar was spent. If you give over $100,
you'll also receive hand-written thank-you
letters from the students.
